First Fathers Day
My first fathers day was about the fifth perfect spring day we've had in Auckland in a row. After waking up with a hellish pain in my shoulder that one way or another is caused by Liam (be it chucking him in the air or extracting those little fingers from my hair with my head at some weird angle) we got the kit together and walked down to Milford Beach. We forgot to bring any of Liams toys so after a quick scratch of the head the strawberry milk bottle Dad had just polished off with a few cashew nuts inside became a makeshift rattle. Liam also tucked into some solids while out and about for the first time, a bit of whats become known as 'papple' - mushed up ice cube sized morsals of pureed apple...mmmmm!
Though he was a happy wee chap while we were down at the beach he pretty much grizzled for the rest of the day. No surprises there though, the first little tooth that started off as a wee bump on his gum is feeling rough as a bastard file now, so poor little man is getting a bit of grief we think. Lots of kisses and cuddles and some teething powder will get us through, well we hope so anyway. Labels: Milestones
