Liam's Long Weekend

We took the little tacker down to Papamoa to see Grandma Maya and Grandpa Ricky for Labour Weekend. Sunday was a beaut of a day so Little Li had a roll around out on the patio with his nudie bum out in the fresh air, and Dad and Grandpa took him down to the beach on Labour Day for his first touch of the toes in the ocean. Much like Laga Jensen at about the same age he didn't really like it, and the little feet retracted like a planes undercarriage. I think he was a bit scared of the way the wash came in towards him quickly - quite a bit for a little noggin to comprehend.
.
Saads has given me an unconfirmed report that Liam has started saying 'Mum Mum Mum' this morning. She reckons he started doing this because she took a bit more time than usual getting him his cereal (patience is not his strong suit at the moment). So its unconfirmed partly because she was a bit surprised to hear it, partly because I wasn't there to see it, but mainly because I want him to say 'Dad Dad Dad' first. I can confirm though that he looks like he will be giving crawling a good nudge within a month - he was making some promising gestures with his legs and arms on the weekend with the two sets of limbs moving at once, but definitely not in unison. It might be time to crawl proof the house.
