"Børk! Børk! Børk!"

"They say laughter is the best medicine...unless you can afford to go to a pharmacy"
.
.
It might be a bit ambitious to attibute such a ubiquitous phrase to these two comic's from the 80's, but its certainly the first place I heard it - as the gimmick part of the song that they always sang at the shows end..."Now its time to say goodnight..."

Since last Monday Liam has been one very unwell little boy with temperatures as high as 41.8º C, a snotty nose and hacking cough, an infection in both ears and his throat and to top it all off for the last two days...spots. I'll not go into the details about what this has meant in terms of sleepless nights, tepid baths and midnight journeys in his pram and pyjamas to get his temperature down, but it seems the worst of it is now over. The spots have vamoosed and he's on the mend for Christmas.

As always, despite being sick and tired of being sick and tired, he manages to be a darling. The last few days have involved a few hours of DVD watching while lying on Mum or Dad, and at some stage 'The Muppets Show' or "Fwog" as he refers to it, was the show of choice. Now when kids watch telly at his age they seem to talk about what they recognise on the screen, sort of sit there soaking it up or lose interest pretty quickly. And so it was for Liam too until the Swedish Chef appeared icing a chocolate cake that's alive - and he just started giggling and laughing. Now its not like he's never laughed before - if we do silly things he'll have a good giggle - but this is the first time he's seen something that he thought was piss funny. So we played it again with the same result - then he started asking for it - "Cake!". Well in a week that wasn't much fun it got Saads and I laughing too and we had to hand it to him - the Swedish Chef is comic gold. How young is too young to start him on a course of Seinfeld?
