Due 22 October and we can't wait. Saady has even taken the bold move of buying her what will be her first doll - and promptly giving it to Liam. Strange? New Age Parents? Maybe - but he's take to feeding it in the high chair so the payoffs could be huge in terms of sleep ins for us when she arrives! Well, its more a case of teaching him how to hold a baby, teaching him to be a gentle big brother. Not that we have any concerns, though one could say he 'vandalised' her plunket book with a ball point pen.

After a mild May things have started to turn cold here in Welly in June - I can see my breath in the kitchen and I feel like the refrigerator isn't really earning its keep. There's a nice white mantle atop the Tararua's and a dusting of freshies on the Rimutakas which means winter is most definitely here. I'm still hoping (probably in vain) for a big southerly storm to dump on the hill road some time this winter so Liam and I can take a snowday - we got close last weekend but there was just a light dusting dammit...
